February 12-13, 2025 | Washington, D.C.
The Fire Department Safety Officers Association (FDSOA) was honored to participate in the 35th Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Dinner, hosted by the Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI). This prestigious event gathered leaders from across the country to recognize the dedication and bravery of our nation’s fire and emergency services.
Despite the cold and snowy weather, FDSOA representatives joined fire service colleagues in Washington, D.C., to engage in critical discussions with federal government leaders. The symposium and dinner provided an invaluable opportunity to advocate for the needs and priorities of the fire service community.
Chairman Eric Valliere, Western Director Lance Vinson, Eastern Director Ben Holley, and Treasurer Michael Johnson proudly represented FDSOA as they walked the Hill, meeting with Representatives from their respective states. As a unified team, they shared the top priorities of the fire service, advocating for essential support and resources that will strengthen emergency response capabilities nationwide.
Participation in the CFSI Symposium and Dinner continues to be a cornerstone of FDSOA’s commitment to advocating for the safety and effectiveness of our emergency responders. These collaborative efforts play a vital role in shaping policies that protect those who dedicate their lives to serving others.
FDSOA remains steadfast in our mission to support fire department safety officers and all those who work tirelessly to safeguard our communities.
