The FDSOA is a non-profit association founded in 1989. It was established in direct response to a demand for more education and networking among Safety Officers. Today, the FDSOA represents over 12,000 Safety Officers, fire officers, and firefighters internationally. The FDSOA focuses on your issues, shares your concerns, and represents your point of view.

Membership Application
FDSOA offers three levels of Membership. Choose the best membership level below.
Active Membership - $99.00 (USD)
- Subscription period: 1 year
- Any individual who is involved actively in a position that includes responsibility for emergency services’ responses or an organization’s health and safety or the training of such personnel.
There are no cancellations, refunds, or alterations during the 12-month membership activation period.
Department Membership - $399.00 (USD)
- Bundle (up to 25 members)
- Subscription period: 1 year
- Any public or private Fire Department; Department of Public Safety; local, regional, state, provincial, federal, or other private fire or emergency-management training center or response organization; allied associations; are eligible to become an organizational member.
Department Plus Membership - $749.00 (USD)
- Bundle (up to 50 members)
- Subscription period: 1 year
- Any public or private Fire Department; Department of Public Safety; local, regional, state, provincial, federal, or other private fire or emergency-management training center or response organization; allied associations; are eligible to become an organizational member.
Training Center Membership - $749.00 (USD)
- Subscription period: 1 year
The FDSOA Training Center Membership is designed specifically for colleges, academies, and fire service training centers that prepare students for certification and support Pro Board testing. This institutional partnership provides a streamlined, cost-effective solution to integrate certification testing directly into your programs while improving student outcomes.
