Battalion Chief Ben Holley started his career in the fire service in 2001 with Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services in Marietta, GA. He spent 20 years in the field responding to incidents, including 13 years on the Hazardous Materials Response Team. He became a Safety Officer in 2013 and became a member of the FDSOA in 2017. After spending 5 years in the Training Division he was promoted to the first designated Health and Safety Officer in Cobb County’s history.
Ben currently holds an associate degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University and is working toward a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health. He has been involved in private industry training in safety and health for 16 years.
Holding certifications as NAEMT Tactical Combat Casualty Care Responder, Advanced Rail Car Specialist, and Blue Card Instructor, as well as experience creating and coordinating training programs, creating new response teams, and continuing education conferences, Ben looks forward to bringing his expertise to the FDSOA.
