This self-paced course that closes 30 days from start. Digital textbook: Fire Department Incident Safety Officer (3rd Edition) by David W. Dodson. This digital book is included with the course and will be available during the 30 day course period.

Candidates Responsibilities to get STARTED:

  • Complete registration and payment for the ISO Online course.
  • Upon registration applicants must provide complete Proctor information: Name, Title, Email address and Phone number.
  • Exam must be taken within 90 days of course completion.
  • Coordinate with FDSOA for testing package to be sent to Proctor two weeks prior to students testing.

Inclusions:

  • Digital version of the Fire Department Incident Safety Officer (Third Edition) book by David W. Dodson available during the 30 day course period.
  • Testing materials will be mailed on March 2, 2026 to Proctor’s provided address.
  • Exam must be taken within 90 days of course completion.
  • Passing grade of 70% required.
  • Submission to Pro Board for certification upon receipt of completed and signed Affidavit (confirmation of randomly selected JPR’s).
