Robby Lagace

With over 35 years of operational, instructional, and leadership experience, Robby Lagacé is a recognized expert in occupational health and safety, emergency operations, firefighter training, and strategic organizational leadership.

Robby began his career in 1988 as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, and in 1992 joined the Montreal Fire Department as a career firefighter, serving nearly 31 years. Throughout his career, he advanced through the ranks, holding positions as Lieutenant, Captain, Battalion Chief, Battalion Chief – Health and Safety Division, ultimately serving as Division Chief – Health and Safety.

Today, Robby serves as Battalion Chief for the newly established Régie incendie de l’Alliance des Grandes-Seigneuries, a regional fire department on the south shore of Montreal, Quebec, where he continues to dedicate his expertise to firefighter safety and community protection.

Robby also spent over eight years as an instructor at the Institut de Protection contre les Incendies du Québec (Quebec fire academy), teaching pump operations, high rise operations, fire dynamics, and firefighter survival.

He holds a Microprogram Graduate Degree in Strategic Management of Occupational Health and Safety, a University Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from the University of Sherbrooke, and a University Certificate in Fire and Accident Prevention Management from the Polytechnic University of Montreal. Robby remains deeply committed to the health, safety, and well-being of firefighters and emergency responders everywhere.
