FDSOA Health & Safety Conference brings together decision-making incident and health safety officers from across the U.S. and Canada. By co-locating with other health, wellness and safety conferences, FDSOA delivers higher cross-over attendance of fire service leaders to vendors. And our data shows those decision makers want to be taught by vendors and are influenced by what they learn.

Following the 2023 Health & Safety Conference, FDSOA surveyed the attendees. There are four key findings from that survey that those looking to reach officers in charge of incident safety and firefighter health and wellness must pay close attention to:

94% said they engaged with vendors, with 36% saying they were very engaged.
60% said their interactions with vendors would likely lead to a purchase.
63% said they welcome vendors involvement as subject matter experts; only 5% wanted no vendor involvement.
94% said they will incorporate what they learned back at their departments.

FDSOA’s 2023 Health & Safety Conference had nearly 40 speakers, 33 break-out educational sessions and two general sessions. It drew significantly more attendees and vendors than any of the previous shows over the past eight years.
